So far, Loki season 2 has revealed new details about the Time Variance Authority, introduced a new variant of Kang the Conqueror: Jonathan Majors’ Victor Timely, and uncovered a secret ploy by the rogue Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes, who promised to reveal a game-changing secret to Renslayer in Loki season 2, episode 3’s cliffhanger ending.

Marvel Studios’ Loki series on Disney+ has never shied away from instigating major storylines that have had a huge impact on the rest of the MCU. Miss Minutes Has A Secret To Reveal To Ravonna Renslayer

Ravonna Renslayer and Miss Minutes in the Citadel at the End of Time in Loki season 2 episode 3

After Loki and Mobius took Victor Timely back to the TVA in Loki season 2, episode 3, “1893,” Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie launched Renslayer through a Time Door to the Citadel at the End of Time. This brought Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s former TVA Judge face-to-face with the corpse of He Who Remains, the first variant of Kang the Conqueror introduced to the MCU. Despite their dire situation, Miss Minutes revealed to Renslayer that she has a major secret – one that promises to shake up the MCU. Although this secret has yet to be revealed, Miss Minutes’ declaration has caused many theories to emerge regarding the true nature of Ravonna Renslayer.

Popular theories about Miss Minutes’ Loki season 2 secret include several ideas that could uncover the origins of Ravonna Renslayer in the MCU. Among them, the idea that Ravonna Renslayer may be a variant of Kang the Conqueror would allow Renslayer and Kang to mirror the relationship between Loki and Sylvie. Theories suggesting that Renslayer previously ruled over the TVA at He Who Remains’ side have also gained traction, and this could hint at the pair’s romantic relationship in Marvel Comics being adapted. However, one theory posed by Reddit user The_Trekspert links Renslayer to the MCU’s upcoming Fantastic Four team.

Ravonna Renslayer Could Be The MCU’s Valeria Richards

The Reddit theory notes that, while Loki’s Ravonna Renslayer may be revealed to be Kang the Conqueror’s romantic partner, one storyline from an alternate reality in Marvel Comics may be adapted to also link the TVA Judge to the Fantastic Four. During 2013’s FF (Vol. 2) #8, Valeria Richards, the daughter of Fantastic Four founding members Reed Richards and Sue Storm, is bioengineered into Ravonna Renslayer, the perfect mate for Kang the Conqueror. This was a ploy by legendary Marvel villain Doctor Doom, who planned to use Valeria to convince Kang the Conqueror to merge with him, and a version of this narrative may unfold in Loki season 2.

Miss Minutes’ secret in Loki season 2, episode 3, promises to seriously alter Ravonna Renslayer’s perspective of her role in the TVA and in the MCU as a whole. The most popular theory is that she will be revealed as Kang the Conqueror’s previous lover – just as she is in Marvel Comics. However, should Renslayer also be revealed to be a version of Valeria Richards, this would add an extra depth to her character, and help to pave the road for the Fantastic Four’s debut in the MCU’s Phase 6. Loki has taken big swings before, so it’s possible that Marvel’s First Family could be referenced in season 2.

Valeria Richards In Loki Season 2 Creates The Perfect Fantastic Four Debut

Valeria and Franklin Richards with the Fantastic Four in Marvel Comics

If Gugu Mbatha-Raw’s Ravonna Renslayer is revealed to be a version of Valeria Richards in Loki season 2, the Phase 5 series may be about to set up the perfect introduction for the Fantastic Four. Marvel Studios’ Fantastic Four reboot is expected to release on May 2, 2025, debuting the MCU’s official Fantastic Four team following Multiverse of Madness’ appearance of John Krasinski as Earth-838’s Reed Richards. Valeria Richards’ potential existence in the current timeline of the MCU could hint at both her and her brother, Franklin, being involved in the upcoming Fantastic Four, giving weight to Kevin Feige’s previous comments that Fantastic Four won’t be an origin story.
